10.000 tons of tomatoes exported in Jan 2022

TURKMENISTAN- In January this year, entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, according to data provided by the SPPT (Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan), exported more than 10.5 thousand tons of tomatoes abroad.

Turkmen tomatoes are mainly delivered to neighboring countries. They are exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and the UAE.

To recap, for 11 months of 2021, Turkmenistan exported more than 51 thousand tons of tomatoes worth more than 56 million US dollars.

Turkmen entrepreneurs grow various high-yielding sorts of tomatoes, including Cherry, Rugantino and Fulton. Innovative methods of plant care help growing tomatoes all year round.

Currently, 188 greenhouse complexes are under construction in Turkmenistan. The total area of these greenhouses is 1,792 hectares.
