Acquisition of VDH Foliekassen

NETHERLANDS- AgrowSer Foliekassen has just signed an agreement to acquire VDH Foliekassen, a renowned developer and builder of high-quality foil greenhouses from Hazerswoude-Dorp. Both companies are mainly active in the Netherlands and the German-speaking market, but also serve markets far beyond Europe, such as Japan and Central America.

AgrowSer Foliekassen is best known for its multi-span greenhouses with gothic curved decks, tunnels, multitunnels, fruit covers and shading halls, while VDH Foliekassen specialises mainly in the foil greenhouses based on Venlo steel structures and roof systems. Both companies continue to operate independently under their own name with their own product range, but through the cooperation can offer a wider package of foil products, work more efficiently and respond better to the wishes of the clients, anywhere in the world.

Due to the steady growth of the various VDH companies, the organization has decided to further expand the solar department and transfer the activities in horticulture to AgrowSer Foliekassen from Waddinxveen, in order to ensure the continuity of this department. The acquisition strengthens AgrowSer's position on the European market, making it possible to develop further in the field of technology and sustainability, for soft fruit growers, vegetables, ornamental plants and trees.

The departments of VDH Foliekassen responsible for engineering, execution and sales remain will hardly change, but sales manager Ben van der Heide sr. says goodbye to VDH Foliekassen. He has indicated that he wants to take advantage of the changes to take the next step in his career. For now his duties will be taken over by Eric van der Klauw, director of AgrowSer Foliekassen. Ben van der Heide jr and Cees van der Heide remain the point of contact for their relations.

As of 29 June, AgrowSer Foliekassen and its team will establish themselves in the office of VDH Foliekassen in Hazerswoude-Dorp, while the production facilities of AgrowSer Foliekassen will remain located in Velddriel. The sister company AgrowTec Greenhouse Projects is also moving along, an organization that specializes in the development and construction of Turnkey horticultural projects in both glass and foil, complete with shading, heating, climate control and other greenhouse installations, for all types of vegetable crops, ornamental products and basic material.
