Here are nine things you can do to your yard or garden while it's still cool out:
1. Prep your soil and remove weeds or unwanted plants from last season.
2. Do a soil analyses. UFIFAS will do it for free. Click here for more details.
3. Plant your new plants using seeds from a reputable source.
4. Trim dead leaves and limbs off plants, clean up and trim back.
5. Oak trees have stopped dropping leaves and growing pollen. Clean up those leaves.
6. Place mulch in your yard.
7. Start watering during warm days.
8. Make sure planting locations have good light; trim plants to allow light to flow in.
9. Make sure you have a good water source.
