Big announcement of Havecon on its 14th year

"Havecon North America announces the purchase of an 8ha parcel of land for the future development of new North American headquarters."

Niagara on the Lake - November 2020.

Havecon North America Inc, founded in 2011 and part of the Dutch based Havecon Horticultural Projects, has purchased a property to build their new North American offices.

With its origin in the Netherlands, the global heart of greenhouse horticulture, Havecon Founder and CEO, Henk Verbakel, took the trip over the Atlantic Ocean in 2011 because of significant business opportunities he foresaw. With that, Havecon North America Inc. was created and operations began. After a few years of being in operation and working to gain market Jon Adams joined the team as Vice President. The two continued to grow the business. Havecon North America's first office was officially opened in Niagara on the Lake (ON) in October 2018.

And now, just two years later, we are extremely proud to announce the purchase of an 8 hectare active Vineyard in St. Catharine's Ontario which will soon become the new North American headquarters.

Havecon has a reputation for working fast and completing their builds without compromising the quality of its products and services. In a strong horticultural market you sometimes take things for granted, and then sometimes something totally unexpected and completely out of your control happens. 2020, the year of COVID-19, has taught us all this lesson. From the uncertainty of the spring, to the flattening of the curve in the summer back to an ever-changing fall, companies have had to remain resilient and weather their own individual storms. We have also learned that given the right conditions and commitment, we can all emerge stronger than ever.

Henk Verbakel: "I am extra proud of announcing this milestone in these extraordinary times. I am very grateful for all our connections whom have made it possible to for us take this next big step."

Vice President Jon Adams about the reasons behind it:

"Year after year we have seen steady growth in the North American market. Not long after we opened the first office, we realized that we had to continue to move forward and keep growing to meeting the needs and the demand of our customers and the market".

He continues: "We have been searching for the ideal property for the past year and a half. And suddenly there it was: an 8 hectare parcel of land located in St Catharines, currently being used as a Vineyard. Here in the heart of Niagara we will be able to expand and grow! We will have a great spot right off the QEW, an important Canadian highway within 1 hour of Toronto".

Henk contributes: "In terms of infrastructure and logistics, this property really is perfect. With this we can meet the ever-changing needs of our customers. Furthermore, with a new state of

the art building we can provide our ever-growing employee base a comfortable and safe place

to do their work in the most pleasant way".

The purchase of the property and the expansion it brings, makes Havecon North America Inc one of the largest North American based horticultural companies.

"But..." Henk emphasizes "...being one of the biggest will never mean we lose sight of the core element we are so passionate about: the satisfaction and loyalty of our valued customers".

Jon concludes: "Especially during these challenging times, we keep focus on the horizon and believe the future has great opportunities in store for us".
