Bio-stimulant AL-Bio 7 to manage transplant stress

A&L Biological, a subsidiary of A&L Canada Laboratories, announced they have been granted registration from the Canadian Food and Inspection Agency (CFIA) for AL-Bio 7; a new bio-stimulant formulation. This product improves soil and plant health by harnessing the beneficial properties of the bacterial strain AL-336. The registration is effective October 2021.

'AL-Bio 7' is designed to stimulate plant and root growth, improve stress resistance, and increase crop yield in high-value specialty crops. Growers of a wide variety of fruit and vegetable crops, greenhouse, and field cannabis are looking for solutions to reduce costs and increase yields that can easily be incorporated into their current production practices.

"We listened to the needs of our clients and worked with them to develop this valuable and sustainable bio-based solution for fruits and vegetables," said Rob Field, VP Business Development and Marketing for A&L Biological.

"A&L's greenhouse and field trials have shown significant improvement in plant vigor, root development, bio-mass, and yield for plants in a transplant setting. Transplant stress can have a damaging effect on the early establishment of crops. This bio-stimulant has demonstrated the ability to overcome this "shock" event and provide for improved crop establishment and yield."
