Boekestyn Greenhouses & Flora Pack (BFP) take the next step
Added on 09 September 2021
In 1977, the Boekestyn family united as a collaboration of growers to produce seasonal crops and operated by selling through their sales & marketing arm of the business, Flora Pack. With the production of weekly plants and flowers, and peaks at every holiday, Flora Pack has been able to distinguish themselves from the others through higher quality products that they are able to offer.
The set goal of Boekestyn Greenhouses & Flora Pack (BFP) is to grow crops that satisfy the customer's demands and to ensure that all needs are met. More pointedly, to enrich lives through the beauty of flowers and plants.
With that goal in mind, BFP is ready for the next step in their expansion plans. Currently running greenhouses One and Two at full capacity, the time has come to add a third greenhouse on
a brand-new 40 Acre site. Havecon Horticultural Projects were awarded the contract of constructing this first phase of a multiphase plan, which will add another 5.9 Acres to BFP's production volume.
Looking to reach the full potential that a greenhouse can offer, BFP have put their trust in Havecon's expertise, which as always, will implement the latest technologies to realize another state-of-the-art greenhouse. The Dutch greenhouse builder will start construction October 2021, with a completion scheduled for early February 2022, and first crop planted and growing by March 2022.
Boekestyn Greenhouses & Flora Pack primarily offer their products to U.S. based grocery chains and other U.S. wholesale partners. With the upcoming expansion, BFP will be capable to achieve and hopefully exceed current market expectations and be very well prepared for future demands for many decades to come.
