Buglady earns kudos for her work in biocontrols

The Association of Natural Biocontrol Producers (ANBP) annually recognizes an individual who has made, or is making, extraordinary contributions to the field of augmentation biological control and its use in integrated pest management (IPM).

This year's Award of Excellence winner, Suzanne Wainwright-Evans of Buglady Consulting, is a horticultural entomologist specializing in integrated pest management. Suzanne has been involved in the green industry for more than 30 years, with a primary focus on biological control and using pesticides properly. Her business, Buglady Consulting, focuses on offering independent advice and training for growers so they can have the best science-based IPM programs. She has run the business for 21 years.

"Wainwright-Evans is a graduate of the University of Florida with degrees in both Entomology and Environmental Horticulture. She has worked throughout North America, and internationally, consulting greenhouses, nurseries, landscapers, commercial insectaries, cannabis production, and interiorscape companies. She publishes frequently in trade magazines, teaches workshops and webinars, and lectures professionally to industry groups. Her dynamic presentations use her extensive library of photos and macro movies to discuss best-use practices for using commercially available beneficial insects, mites, and nematodes.
