Mastercourse Floriculture autumn 2024 kicks off!

Participants explore floricultural roots in Westland

During two intensive weeks in the Netherlands, the selected participants are immersed in a wealth of horticultural knowledge and experience. Koppert, Logiqs, Viscon, Dümmen Orange, Klasmann-Deilmann, Chrysal, Bunnik Creations, Ledgnd, Floramedia, Greenhouse Sustainability and Van Krimpen are partners of the Pro Manager Mastercourse. The participants (check out the participant list here) will be received by members of the board of directors at each of the forementioned companies. 

Focus of the course is the future of the floricultural sector whereby sustainability takes centre stage. Cooperating companies’ directors are receiving the participants and will discuss merely strategy and vision in the form of interactive sessions and workshops. At the same time the course is the perfect opportunity to get to know peers from around the globe and to work together intensively for two weeks.

Jungle Talks also continues its cooperation with AIPH on organizing the ‘Young International Grower of the Year Award’. During the Aalsmeer Trade Fair on Wednesday 6 November the three finalists will be announced. Then later on at the International Grower of the Year gala at the IPM in Essen, the final winner will be revealed.

“We are very proud these leading companies and organizations work together to support and inspire this international group,’ says co-organizer Renee Snijders. “Jungle Talks will maintain and foster the contacts between participants, partners and supporters also after the Pro Manager Mastercourse, in order to make sure that all parties will make the most of this valuable cooperation.”

A new step in fostering these connections is the Mastercourse Meet Up, organized for the first time in Brazil last August. Meet Ups a 5-day programs during which the focus lies networking and exploring a floricultural region. “We are planning on visiting the Niagara region in Canada in September 2025,” mentions Ed Smit. Only Mastercourse alumni can participate in these Meet Ups, thus strengthening and expanding the alumni network in the coming years.
