UK exhibitor group at Fruit Logistica reports a record show
Richardson's Jersey Royals

The vibrant event in Berlin hosted a group of British companies, organised by the Commercial Horticultural Association.

Fruit Logistica, 5-7 February, Messe Berlin was a busy and productive show for the group of UK companies exhibiting as part of the CHA group, reflecting the organisers’ reports of a record attendance of 67,500 trade visitors from across the globe.

“Fruit Logistica is a fantastic show for our UK companies, confirmed CHA Trade Federation Manager Susan Fairley. “We are fortunate to have a prime location in hall 5.2 on a main aisle which delivered incredible footfall. Our companies saw buyers from around the world, meeting new contacts, updating with existing customers and renewing old acquaintances.”

New to the group this year, RYPEN reported an excellent show and were proud finalists in the innovation awards presented at the show. Tristan Kaye, Business Development Director commented: “Exhibiting at Fruit Logistica, through CHA, was an important part of our 2025 marketing mix. And the experience didn’t disappoint – our RYPEN Case liner was a finalist in the FLIA Technology awards, and we saw a constant flow of highly relevant potential customers at our stand throughout the event. A very worthwhile investment in both time and marketing spend.”

Another first timer in the British group was Richardson’s Jersey Royals, which was literally flying the flag for Jersey on its stand. The famously delicious, hand-picked Jersey Royal New Potatoes are grown using liquid seaweed, lifted at the optimal time for flavour, then fresh water washed, coated with coir and packed into heat-sealed moisture retaining kraft paper packaging.

Doug Richardson from Richardson’s Jersey Royals said: “Launching ‘Richardson’s Jersey Royals’ to a wider audience at Fruit Logistica 2025 was a tremendous success for us.

It was the perfect event for us to showcase to buyers from across the globe, but especially Europe, how our unique system can now ensure the successful delivery of the freshest, tastiest, delicate skinned Jersey Royal New Potatoes, Britain’s favourite new potato, to markets across Europe and further afield.

“We thoroughly enjoyed the show and were delighted to have been given the opportunity to help fly the flag for Britain and Jersey.”

Other exhibitors in the group included Primafruit, which specialises in the sourcing and supply of fresh fruit to the UK market, Elliott Absorbents with its ECHO Bio-C Fruit Pad which is 100% plastic-free and Fresh4U Produce with its range of fresh produce.

The UK industry information stand, manned by the CHA team, took a multitude of enquiries about membership and from companies who wish to do business with the UK horticultural sector, which will be distributed to member firms as appropriate.
