B.C. wants to increase its food autonomy. Here's what it would take

B.C. is taking tomatoes into its own hands. Premier David Eby visited a Vancouver grocery store last week to talk about the expansion of Windset Farms’ greenhouse operations in Delta, which will see 76 acres lit by renewable electricity, increasing the farm’s year-round tomato production.

The premier applauded an agreement between Windset and Save-On-Foods and spoke about “displacing American tomatoes” with B.C.-grown produce.
