As global agricultural challenges such as water scarcity, land degradation, and food insecurity intensify, controlled-environment farming methods like hydroponics are emerging as transformative solutions.

Virginia Western Community College (VWCC) is taking a bold step toward equipping future agricultural leaders by launching a hydroponics course starting February 19, 2025. This eight-week program aims to provide participants with a foundational understanding of hydroponic farming and its applications in both small-scale and commercial operations.
