Improved training and compliance among cannabis drivers

A regulatory specialist, Perkins is passionate about combining compliance with operational excellence; safe, standardized products; empowered employees; strong company culture and brands. Below, she highlights three trends that will drive the cannabis industry in 2022.
Social Consumption Lounges
"I think 2022 will be a year when we see more states considering and actually allowing social consumption lounges to open. Social consumption lounges are key to driving cannabis tourism and safe consumption. States without legal consumption spaces are realizing they can't accommodate tourists or anyone who wishes to consume cannabis outside of their home."
Standardized Testing
"I think we'll see greater movement toward establishing state, national, and international cannabis testing standards in 2022. Patients, caregivers, and recreational users have a right to know what's in — and what's not in — the cannabis and cannabis products they purchase. Some operators will be happy with this trend, others not so much, but the number of organizations discussing testing standards is increasing every day, so I believe standardized testing is the way of the future."
