On the move: NowVertical hires Shankman

NowVertical Group appoints Cody Shankman EVP, chief marketing officer. Shankman comes to the global big data software and services company from Democratic political media firm Bully Pulpit Interactive, where he served as director. He previously oversaw sales and marketing at Signafire Technologies and worked at BBDO and Blue State Digital. At NOW, Shankman will lead all brand and product marketing programs across the company's holdings. "Cody's depth of knowledge in the digital marketing and storytelling space will be key for NOW as we embark on this next step in our company's growth," said NOW chief executive officer and chairman Daren Trousdell.


Amy Tunick 

National CineMedia names Amy Tunick SVP, chief marketing officer, a newly created position. Tunick was previously vice president, operations & activation at WarnerMedia, leading a team that implemented cross-platform campaigns for advertisers at CNN while overseeing operations and strategy for Courageous, CNN's brand studio. Before that, she was president of WPP's Grey Activation & PR. Tunick is also a founding member of Chief, a private network focusing on connecting and supporting female leaders. In her new post, she will oversee NCM's brand strategy, creative development, marketing solutions, consumer marketing, studio relations and public relations. "She is an exemplary leader driven by how entertainment, culture and technology come together to form marketing content that pays dividends for brands," said NCM president of sales, marketing & partnerships Scott Felenstein.


Aric Nissen 

Kalera AS, a vertical farming company, hires Aric Nissen as chief marketing officer. Nissen joins the company from Restaurant Technologies, where he also held the CMO post. He was previously vice president, revenue management for Subway; senior manager, digital customer insights & growth strategy at Accenture Digital; and has held executive marketing positions at Dairy Queen and Famous Dave's of America. At Kalera, he will the development and execution of the company's marketing initiatives. "Aric is a fantastic addition to our executive team with an impressive background and proven track record in driving customer demand," said Kalera CEO Daniel Malechuk.
