Biotalys expands R&D pipeline with new biofungicide program

Biotalys introduces BioFun-8, a new biofungicide program aimed at controlling Alternaria, a key fungal disease affecting fruits, vegetables, and specialty crops.

BioFun-8 will leverage Biotalys’ proprietary AGROBODY 2.0 technology platform to develop an effective, sustainable crop protection solution.

Alternaria is a growing global issue, with existing chemical solutions facing resistance and regulatory challenges, and the market potential for a new treatment is estimated at USD 1.1 billion.

Biotalys continues to grow its pipeline of biocontrols, including its first biofungicide EVOCA™, which is currently under regulatory review in the U.S. and EU.
