Yukon First Nation to upgrade greenhouse with Federal funding injection

Project to extend growing season, create cold storage to improve access to local food.

Earlier this month, the Federal government promised upwards of $1.6 to several infrastructure projects in the Yukon to grow, preserve and supply food locally.

In a release issued March 7, Dr. Brendan Hanley, MP for the Yukon, on behalf of Gary Anandasangaree, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs, said the projects slated to benefit from the new funding will “help reduce transportation challenges and supply chain disruptions.”
