Tough times for Essex County vegetable growers as Trump tariffs hit

“If the 25 per cent tariff isn’t absorbed by the consumer, then I can’t see how any business can viably withstand those costs,” said Richard Lee, executive director of the Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers (OGVG), representing 170 vegetable growers across Ontario.
