Self-sufficient production unit to transform the future of food!

During the next three months, everyone interested in the sustainable production of healthy food can go and see this self-sufficient production unit which is located at Corferias and background to a number of upcoming fairs, including the Agro Expo from October 22 until November 1.

The unit is equipped with a climate, irrigation and LED lighting, which enable the ideal temperature, humidity and light conditions for the adequate development of plants. Technology providers and Eat This contributors Infinite Acres, Priva, Hortilux and PL Lighting and Metazet Formflex have been involved in construction of the unit.

By initiating project Ahora, Saenz Fety wants to stimulate people to discuss what the future of food looks like and how we can find an answer on how to feed the world without damaging the planet, through crops, fair trade and healthy nutrition that all lead to a positive supply chain.
The company has teamed up with local organizations and institutions such as Universidad de los Andes, Minagricultura, Holland House, Enel X, Embassy of the Netherlands and Corferias to also organize additional activities and events. Project Ahora seeks to transform the mindset regarding agriculture and the necessity, Now more than ever, to understand the concepts regarding responsible production and consumption, thus promoting care for young generations and preserving the land for future ones to come.
