WHC organizes 2nd Summer Of Innovation

A number of squares at the World Horti Center will be converted into a single exhibition plaza where a diversity of new models, concepts and innovations will be on display for small groups of visitors. The route will also take visitors along several highlights that are permanently on exhibit at the World Horti Center, such as the ingenious water area, the All Climate Greenhouse and various participants' stands.

Apart from guided tours, the World Horti Center will organize various activities related to innovation in greenhouse horticulture. A number of Pizza@WHCs have been scheduled, which will be organized in conjunction with InnovationQuarter. Every session, at which delicious slices of pizza will be served, will focus on a current topic (e.g. digital safety in the greenhouse), which will be discussed with the attendees. The goal of this initiative is to bring interested parties together and allow them to brainstorm creatively with one another. In addition to this, we aim give each session a concrete follow-up from which new partnerships, ideas and innovations will emerge and be worked out in further detail.

The greenhouse horticulture sector in the Netherlands has served as an epicentre of innovation and creativity for over a century, giving individuals and business enterprises alike an opportunity to present a continuous stream of innovative solutions. Through the Summer Of Innovation, the World Horti Center aims to stimulate cooperation and innovation in this resilient sector.
