World Horti Center reopening

NETHERLANDS- World Horti Center will be opening its doors to visitors again next Tuesday. Like everyone else, World Horti Center has had to make adjustments in response to the many things that have changed as a result of the coronavirus. Whilst the crisis has caused setbacks, it has also offered the opportunity for new creative steps. The greenhouse horticulture sector has seized this opportunity with both hands, for example by identifying new sales channels and organising heartwarming initiatives.

Although there have been no events or guided tours, knowledge-sharing, matchmaking and inspiration have carried on as normal at World Horti Center. We launched the Online HortiXperience with live online tours, knowledge videos and e-books, we started the EAT THIS! webinar series, and we initiated a new project around Vertical Farming. We also found that the crisis offers opportunities for students at MBO Westland and Inholland. Hence the Horti Technics & Management and Inholland students are learning about 'remote growing', and Flowers & Design students are exhibiting their artworks online.

We look forward to welcoming you to World Horti Center in person again! Obviously in a modified way.
