In response to the growing demand from international companies and governments for food security, food safety, and sustainability, and the need to work with the right experts and partners in the Netherlands, HollandDoor has decided to strengthen its team with new members.

We would like to introduce you to René Braakman.

From 1 January 2025, he will strengthen the HollandDoor team with his broad international knowledge of agriculture and horticulture.

René Braakman has 28 years of experience in the Agro, Food, and Retail supply chain. With his background in arable farming and horticulture, he has gained expertise in agribusiness in the Netherlands through various roles at different companies. He specializes in developing innovative business models, transforming chain data into actionable insights, and driving sustainability.

In addition to his work in the Netherlands, René gained valuable experience in Africa, where he has set up training programs for smallholder farmers in organic agriculture. He is passionate about guiding companies towards more sustainable food production. He believes that Dutch knowledge and expertise can contribute globally to strengthening innovations in sustainable food production and marketing.
