Beekenkamp Group started phase 3 of greenhouse

After the realization of this 16,000 m2 greenhouse, Beekenkamp will have more than 10 hectare of ultramodern greenhouses at this location. Here, they mainly cultivate root vegetables, of the highest quality and according to the strictest hygiene protocols. Beekenkamp has been fully GSPP-certified since 2012, and it goes without saying that this greenhouse expansion will also meet this standard.

The horticultural sector faces major challenges and An Beekenkamp, Director Beekenkamp Plants Vegetables, says: "To be able to grow and move with our customers, the new greenhouse is a great next step. We are facing the future with confidence despite the difficult times the sector is in."

With sustainability in mind, a hybrid lighting system was chosen, which means that part LED and part SON-T lighting will be installed.
