An automated mobile container system with an ebb and flow irrigation system will be installed to ensure an efficient logistics process. This system will be connected to the existing water and UV recirculation installations. The project also includes the investment in heat pumps to provide sustainable energy supply, supporting the company’s environmental goals.
“We are combining our Dutch expertise with efficient local execution. Our team in the Netherlands is responsible for the complete engineering process, ensuring that the greenhouse and systems are perfectly integrated and that the connection to the existing facilities is seamless. Key components will be supplied from the Netherlands, while sourcing other materials locally under our supervision and strict quality control,” says Dave Debets, one of the directors of Debets Schalke. ”This approach reduces purchasing and transportation costs without compromising on quality. The construction and local sourcing will be carried out in collaboration with a Chinese partner under our guidance.”
“Anthura's range of Anthuriums, Orchids and Bromeliads is grown and sold worldwide. With this expansion in China, the company is
further strengthening its presence in the Asian market. Anthura is a leading international breeder with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and growth. We are proud to be executing this project for Anthura”, says Dave Debets.
