ACT Group returns to Saint-Hyacinthe for 2024 Quebec Grower Summit

Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec - After a highly successful Quebec Grower Summit last year, the ACT group, a collaboration of four providers and industry partners, will return to the province to host a second Quebec Grower Summit on Monday, September 23.

The half-day, in-person grower summit, hosted by Grodan, Philips LED Lighting, Priva, and Svensson, will be held at the Sheraton Saint-Hyacinthe Hotel.

This year's summit theme is Optimizing Greenhouse Production in Cold Climates: Challenges, Solutions, and Opportunities. The event will delve into critical topics to help greenhouse growers optimize their greenhouse production with content tailored for Quebec's colder climates. Growers will learn comprehensive screening strategies for total climate control, examine root zone management and irrigation strategies, and guidelines for transitioning from HPS to LED lighting. In addition, attendees will gain insights into maximizing energy efficiency, preparing for upcoming provincial legislation, and improving plant health during the cold, cloudy, and snowy Quebec winters. Greenhouse expert, Philippe-Antoine Taillon, with Ministère de l'Agriculture, will provide an update on legislative changes affecting greenhouse and farming operations, and greenhouse consultant, Sébastien Couture, will serve as event emcee.

The Quebec Grower Summit will be held at the Sheraton Saint-Hyacinthe, Saint-Hyacinthe, QC, 12:15 – 5:00 PM. Complimentary lunch will be available for summit attendees with lunch being served from 11:30-12:10 with the program beginning promptly at 12:15 PM. A networking happy hour with complimentary appetizers and beverages will close out the grower summit. Registration is required for the Quebec Grower Summit and seating is limited. Deadline for registration is Thursday, September 13, 2024.

ACT is a collaboration of four companies: Grodan, Philips LED Lighting, Priva, and Svensson, providers of premium services and products for the horticulture industry.
