Added on 01 March 2024
The DLG Feldtage 2024 exhibition, to take place in Erwitte, Germany, 11-13 June, 2024 has already attracted a large number of exhibitors. Around 300 registered companies from 16 countries will be presenting their products and solutions under the guiding theme of "Crop production out of the box". The traditional range of exhibits on crop cultivation, crop breeding, crop protection, fertilization and live agricultural machinery demonstrations will be accompanied by new topics this year. Current developments in field robots, AI and automation as well as digital solutions for crop cultivation will be presented under the new DLG brand "FarmRobotix". The Value Chain Day on June 13 will be dedicated to the topics of plant proteins, quality grain and value chains in organic farming.
"The many challenges currently facing the fields of crop production, crop breeding and crop protection require innovative approaches that address a number of factors. Adapting to climate change, ensuring the sustainable use of resources such as water and soil, developing resistant plant varieties and new thinking in the field of plant protection are but a few. With the 'out of the box' approach, the DLG-Feldtage will be encouraging new thinking in crop production," says Andreas Steul, Project Manager of the DLG-Feldtage.
"The response to the new concept of the DLG Feldtage with topics such as alternative cultivation methods, new markets and opportunities in the value chain underlines the importance of the open-air exhibition as a business platform and future forum for crop production professionals and their partners," adds Steul, expressing his satisfaction with the number of stand bookings, some four before the kick-off.
Guiding theme “Crop production out of the box”
Agriculture thrives on the ability to adapt to changing natural conditions, new economic and political requirements, consumer demands and trends. This requires looking beyond the borders of the farm. Under the theme “Crop production out of the box”, the DLG (German Agricultural Society) as the organizer, together with exhibitors and partners, will present innovative technologies and sustainable practices that will contribute to reshaping the future of crop cultivation.
"FarmRobotix": New platform for robotics, AI and automation
The FarmRobotix platform will celebrate its premiere at the DLG-Feldtage 2024 field exhibition. The new highlight offers an international platform for farmers and experts interested in the latest developments in field robotics, AI and automation as well as digital solutions in crop production and in agriculture as a whole. FarmRobotix is aimed at farmers, manufacturers, start-ups and technology providers.
Day of the value chain
With the "Value Chain Day" on June 13, the DLG-Feldtage 2024 will focus on the entire food chain. Experts from science, agriculture, trade, processing and representatives of leading companies in the food industry will explore the potential of the trend towards alternative proteins, innovative ways of marketing quality grain and organic farming.
