Dutch Lily Days 2025: Innovations and challenges are the focus

From 3 to 6 June 2025 the world of lilies becomes the highlight of the annual Dutch Lily Days. This event offers breeders, growers and trading companies the opportunity to get to know each other and exchange knowledge about the latest trends and developments. The growing interest in double-bloomed lilies will undoubtedly be a major topic of discussion.

The Dutch Lily Days is being organised for the 13th time in 2025. Just like previous years, the event is a unique opportunity for experts to discuss the innovations and the challenges of the lily market. It is the perfect moment to discover what progress the sector has made in developing more sustainable and resistant varieties, which new varieties have appeared, and what are the marketing opportunities for pollen-free and double-bloomed lilies.

Arrival of the double-bloomed
The attention paid to the double-bloomed lilies is expected to be huge. Foreign customers have responded favourably to the arrival of these peony-like varieties, and the acreage devoted to growing them has increased greatly. The appearance of double-bloomed varieties is seen in most of the groups, like the LAs, Orientals and OTs. Double-flowered lilies are a welcome addition to the wide range available in the marketplace!
