Further integration Royal Brinkman and Berg Hortimotive

's-Gravenzande/De Lier - Royal Brinkman's Technical Department and Berg Hortimotive are joining forces for the next phase of growth and development. In doing so, the Board of the Royal Brinkman Group is anticipating the growth ambitions arising from its new strategic long-term plan. It shows a strong focus on trading activities on the one hand and engineering activities on the other. The further integration of both companies means the development of a new technical organization. As of 1 August 2022, Bas Brinkman will be the new manager of Berg Hortimotive, in addition to being the manager of Royal Brinkman's Technical Department. He takes over from Marco van der Velden, who is leaving the company.

Strategic course

Royal Brinkman Group has a clear growth mission. The new strategic course is aimed at making even greater use of the Group's strengths. This means a strong focus on trading activities on the one hand and on technical activities on the other. This includes further integration of Berg Hortimotive with Royal Brinkman's Technical Department. The strength of the Royal Brinkman Group provides the space to continue to build together on a future-proof and stable technical organization with competitive quality products and services worldwide.

Central management

The further integration of both companies means the development of a new interpretation of the technical organization. This requires appropriate management. Marco van der Velden, managing director of Berg Hortimotive: "I have chosen to step back for Bas Brinkman, who successfully set up a similar structure at Royal Brinkman. He is the right professional to lead the team and our operation into the next phase of growth and development." Marco van der Velden will stay on until 1 September 2022 to ensure a smooth handover, and allow his successor to grow into his new role.

Location

Berg Hortimotive will remain at the same location in De Lier and will continue its activities under its own brand name. Growers, dealers and resellers will experience even more benefits from the service that both organizations offer together.
