HeroFestival 2022 fully live again!

Naaldwijk - The HeroFestival - an initiative of HortiHeroes and this year a collaboration with Top Sector Horticulture and Starting Materials - has been the place where innovation in the Food & Flower industry is stimulated. On Thursday 23 June 2022, the fifth edition will take place, finally completely live again from H20 Esports Campus Amsterdam! With speakers such as Jouri Schoemaker from Pieter Pot, Has van den Kieboom from GoDare and Dirk Tuip from H20 and with a theme that puts the spotlight on successful innovations within and outside the Food & Flower industry, challenging start-ups and the young talents of the future: WE ARE GAME CHANGERS.

The HeroFestival brings together frontrunners, future makers, startups, scale-ups, intrapreneurs and future leaders from inside and outside the Food & Flower industry to accelerate innovation by providing a platform for impact entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs and connecting the network. All this will take place at the H20 Esports Campus Amsterdam, a spectacular event location whose vision is to use gaming to realise impact innovation and to get the talent of tomorrow on board.

Programme full of Game Changers

It will to be another inspiring and unique edition, with a programme full of game changers. The event starts with the finale of the TopSector Innovation Prize, where startups with sustainable innovations for the horticultural chain pitch in front of a jury for a knowledge voucher of € 25,000 that can be used at Wageningen University & Research.

Also, the heroes of the HortiHeroes Intrapreneurship Programme will take to the stage again this year to present the startups they have worked so hard on in recent months. The jury - all game changers from the Food & Flower industry - will choose who will win the top prize of € 10,000 to invest in their start-up or innovation project.

Game Changers from inside and outside the sector provide a healthy dose of creative and inspiring "chaos in the order". Amongst others, Jouri Schoemaker (founder of online packaging-free supermarket Pieter Pot), successful game designer Tomas Sala, Has van den Kieboom (director of GoDare, powered by Lely & Gevasol) and Dirk Tuip (founder of H20 Esports Campus) will share how they reached the next level in their sector by stepping off the beaten track.
