Meet Netled North American operations team at GreenTech
Added on 14 June 2022
Netled North America is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. Rambridge Wholesale is an international manufacturer and wholesale distributor of garden and hydroponic supplies. Founded in 1982, the company is a market leader in product innovation. It now forms the team Netled North America and is the site of North America's first Netled Vera® vertical farm.
Netled's vertical farming technologies and Rambridge's technical experience and complimentary consumables catalog will bring complete solutions to clients across North America. Netled North America can support its clients to build their full solution and help design, build, implement, warranty, and continually support their growth.
Netled's first North American farm is a smaller size, two-layered 1076 sq ft (100 m2) unit that serves as a demonstration facility of what Vera® technology is. It offers great opportunities for training, R&D work, and local collaboration. The site is open for visitors now.

High-quality local produce now available for Canadian and US markets
"Agriculture has been a staple of the Alberta economy for well over a century, and so primary commodities and value-added products are vital to this province and Calgary", says the Director Netled North America, Brent Parker.
"By bringing new technological developments, we hope to improve on the sustainability and accessibility of high-quality local produce. Calgary is also a major location in Canada's transportation corridor. From this location, we are able to land materials from around the world and economically transport them across North America."
Calgary's Vera® farm grows Organic Chives, Blue Curled Scotch Kale, Brentwood Organic Greens, Prizm Kale, Prospera Organic Basil, Mint, Thyme, and Greek Oregano. In the future, Arugula and Baby Leaf Swiss Chard and Baby Leaf Spinach will be available.
"Vertical farming represents the future of controlled-environment production in Canada. As the climate changes and ever-more unpredictable weather, pest, and disease pressures become commonplace, vertical farming represents an opportunity for safe and reliable food production.
Vertical farming also means food is produced locally, which reduces the carbon footprint associated with transportation, reduces supply-chain costs, and reduces water consumption. It ensures customers are able to enjoy a fresher product, and one that is more sustainably produced." adds Parker.
Book a Vera® vertical farm tour
Visitors to Netled North America will be able to see the Vera® vertical farming technology up close via guided site tours.
"We are looking forward to welcoming potential customers or any parties interested in the possibilities of vertical farming to our headquarters to see the Vera® vertical farming technology up close", says Laura Parker, General Manager at Netled North America.
If you'd like to book a tour at the Vera® facility in Calgary or request an invitation for the grand opening event on September 8th 2022, please contact Laura Parker, General Manager, Netled North America at laura.parker@netled.fi
