US- Intergrow Greenhouses Inc. has hired James Williams as its manger of marketing and product development.

Williams is coming from Sam's Club in Bentonville, AR, where he was most recently in charge of buying tropical fruits, including bananas, pineapples, mangoes, kiwifruit and papaya. He graduated from Cornell University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in agronomy and agribusiness. Williams will bring new perspective to the company, both as a past retail buyer and as a representative of Gen Z.

"Bringing Williams on board will add a fresh set of eyes with a new perspective on our business," said Kris Gibson, vice president of sales and marketing. "Our goal is to have increased presence in the tomato market and a marketing strategy with focus on the next generation of consumers."

Originally from a family farm in New York state, Williams is excited to be returning home. "I have learned so much at Sam's Club, but my heart has always been in production ag. I am ready to apply all that I've learned to this side of the business and am really looking forward to helping bring our products to life in this new role."

Williams will be responsible for leading the company's customer facing brands, managing trade and marketing funds as well as driving new innovations within Intergrow's product assortment. "We have a lot of momentum in our business right now. As we continue to grow our acreage, we strive to add additional value to what Intergrow offers," said Dirk Biemans, owner and president of Intergrow Greenhouses. "We are excited to add James to our management team and look forward what the future will hold."
