Henderson officials prepare for medical marijuana legalization

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) — Henderson city officials are taking steps to prepare for medical marijuana legalization after Governor Andy Beshear signed it into Kentucky law last year. City commissioners discussed a medical marijuana ordinance today, setting guidelines for cannabis dispensaries.

“Very few communities are as far ahead on zoning as the city is,” says Dawn Kelsey, the city’s attorney.
