Signify expands technical support team

Smith-Page will work with customers to develop custom light plans and deploy the company's Philips GrowWise Control System, so growers can improve crop quality, productivity and operational efficiency.

Smith-Page has worked in the lighting industry for over two decades, and held roles including luminaire design, lighting applications and photometric design at Metalumen Manufacturing; lighting sales and marketing at Salex/Marnik; product marketing and development at Canlyte; and lighting design as an independent consultant.

A graduate of University of Guelph and Wilfrid Laurier University, Smith-Page taught lighting design at Ryerson University in both the School of Interior Design and the Lighting Certificate Program, and at The Ontario College of Art and Design, for the IESNA Toronto Section (ED100 and ED150). She speaks regularly within the community and abroad on topics, such as the effects of lighting on human health and performance, light and the human visual system, spectral effects of light on biological systems, circadian photobiology and horticultural lighting. Smith-Page is a past-president of the Toronto Section of the IESNA and has contributed to many scientific committees of the IESNA and CIE.
