LONDON- A top talent from Adidas, the new Infarm EVP is tasked with building a sustainable, scalable global supply chain to meet Infarm's goal of reaching 100 cities by 2025.

Infarm, the world's fastest growing urban farming network, has announced the appointment of Alexandra Morton as its new Global Executive Vice President of Supply Chain Management, effective immediately.

Alexandra joins the organisation from Adidas, where she served as Senior Vice President for the European Supply Chain. With more than 20 years of experience, Alexandra's role will focus on building a scalable and sustainable global supply chain, continuing to drive Infarm's goal of zero waste and zero greenhouse gas emissions. 

As the new Global Executive Vice President of Supply Chain Management, Alexandra will be helping to build the next generation of Infarm's plant distribution to ensure harvesting on-demand translates into superior products and consumer experience.  With operations across 10 countries and 30 cities worldwide, Infarm harvests 1,000,000 plants monthly and growing, while using 99.5% less space than soil-based agriculture, 95% less water, 90% less transport and no chemical pesticides. To date as part of its operations, Infarm has saved more than 40,000,000 litres of water and 60,000 square metres of land as it creates a new standard in agriculture.

Infarm's goal of having 100 growing centres in cities globally by 2025 will be aided by this new appointment, with Alexandra adding diverse and inclusive leadership skills to the company, to help them continue to disrupt the food industry.

Alexandra Morton is the Global Executive Vice President of Supply Chain Management at Infarm, the world's fastest growing urban farming network, harvesting and distributing more than 1,000,000+ plants each month across its network.

Alex's role focuses on building the next generation of Infarm's plant distribution infrastructure - a scalable, sustainable global supply chain that will be capable of reaching more than 100 cities globally by 2025 with Infarm's fresh, sustainable produce.

Having spent more than 20 years working in senior supply chain leadership roles at companies including Adidas, Unilever, Starbucks, Univar and FedEx, Alex has always been passionate about sustainability and positive social impact. Throughout her career she has focused not only on the development, optimization and transformation of supply chains, but has been adamant about preparing today's supply chain for the uncertainties and ever-changing conditions of tomorrow whilst targeting carbon-neutrality.

Alex holds an MBA/International Business and has worked with Dr. Hau Lee in the Supply Chain Leadership Executive Program at Stanford University. She grew up in Berlin, lived and worked in Seattle, Portland, and Rotterdam, and is currently living in Amsterdam with her husband Fernando. Their two adult children, along with two grandchildren live in Seattle, WA. Both Alex and Fernando are avid cyclists and enjoy the outdoors.
