Koppert launches Stingray 25 in France: a booster of crop growth
Added on 04 March 2025

Field trials conducted in maize, soybean, wheat, and sunflower have demonstrated outstanding results with the application of Koppert's bio fungicide Triario and Stingray 25. These trials showed a significant boost in plant health and yield, making Stingray 25 a valuable addition to modern crop management strategies.
Remarkable yield increases
“The launch of Stingray 25 represents a significant advancement in sustainable crop production, delivering tangible benefits to growers“, said Felipe Capobianco, Market Development Manager at Koppert. “Recent field trials in France have demonstrated remarkable yield increases when Stingray 25 is integrated with our existing solutions like Triario. In France, growers saw yield increases of up to 1.01 tons per hectare in maize, with a return on investment of 3,60 euro on every euro invested. Such results underscore our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that drive both productivity and profitability for growers worldwide."
Unique seaweed extraction process
What sets Stingray 25 apart is its unique seaweed extraction process, which preserves bioactive compounds, such as acids, fucoids and mannitols, that help plants combat abiotic stress. These compounds, developed through the seaweed’s adaptation to extreme conditions, ensure better root structure, improved water and nutrient uptake, and uniform growth for higher yields.
Introduction to the French market
“We’re proud to introduce Stingray 25 to the French market,” said Damien Facci, Agri Commercial Director at Koppert France. “The combination of advanced extraction techniques and proven field performance makes this product a reliable solution for growers aiming to maximize their crop potential. The plants can leverage on the available bioactive compounds to establish successfully during one of the most sensitive stages of their development: post-sowing and early vegetative stages. At this stage the newly forming root systems are exceptionally sensitive to abiotic stress like drought and high salinity. By overcoming these challenges, the plants are guided toward healthy development, ultimately contributing to improved yields.
Application
Stingray 25 can be applied through in-furrow application at sowing or foliar spraying, making it versatile across various stages of crop development. Farmers in France now have access to a new tool that not only enhances productivity and profitability but also aligns with the growing demand for sustainable and resilient agricultural practices.
