Marco van der Sar new chairman of MPS board
Added on 14 February 2024
Marco van der Sar is taking over from Gijs Kok, chairman of the board for the past six years. During his time at MPS, Kok used his experience from his years at Royal FloraHolland to make a significant contribution to the board and to improve the sustainability of the horticulture industry. Van der Sar is delighted to be following in Kok’s footsteps and to have the opportunity to make his own contribution.
After graduating in Business Administration in Rotterdam, Van der Sar spent ten years in various roles at Royal FloraHolland, followed by four years at Dümmen Orange. Since 2020 he has run his own business specialising in interim management. He is also chairman of the board of the Flower Council Holland.
We will soon be publishing an in-depth interview with Van der Sar on our website, in which we get to know him better and discover his reasons for deciding to take on the role of chairman of the MPS board.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Gijs for all he has done for MPS during his tenure and wish Marco the very best of luck and enjoyment in his new role.
