Saheli De of Blue Radix Top 3 finalist for 'Women in AI Awards'

The award in the AI Impact Maker category recognizes individuals for their exceptional contributions and unwavering commitment to the AI field, acknowledging their substantial influence on the AI community. Saheli expresses her gratitude, saying: “I feel deeply honoured by the nomination. It's a privilege to be considered among such accomplished individuals. I hope that through this nomination, I can inspire other women to step forward and become integral parts of the AI industry as well. Let's break barriers and pave the way for more diverse voices and perspectives in the exciting world of artificial intelligence.”
Developing solutions to solve global food crisis
Saheli continues: “At Blue Radix, the specialist in autonomous growing, we are designing AI solutions that are being used in over 14 countries in the world. These solutions support growers in producing more and better vegetables in their greenhouse with less resources. The fact that we, as a team, are contributing to a more sustainable food production system, gives me a lot of motivation.”
Saheli, a founding member of Blue Radix, shares her perspective: “Blue Radix is a forward-thinking and inclusive workplace. Building a data science community together
Alongside her responsibilities at Blue Radix, Saheli is dedicated to fostering unity within the data science community. Monthly, she orchestrates complimentary meet-ups, uniting speakers from diverse countries and organizations. Beyond this, she extends her support by mentoring aspiring data scientists, predominantly focusing on young women in the field.

According to the Jury, Saheli’s accomplishments have truly set her apart from the other 200(!) candidates in the category ‘Impact Maker’. They believe that her work has had a significant impact on the AI Community. The celebratory Women in AI Gala and announcement of the winners, will take place on the 9th of February 2024.
