Uby Agro Holding announces new biopesticides company

Uby Agro Holding revealed to AgroPages its entry into the bioinputs market with the creation of a company of biological pesticides for agriculture – Vitales.

With an investment of BRL100 million (US$20 million), the new factory will be based in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais.

The Vitales unit will include solid and liquid fermentation a structure, a quality and innovation laboratory, an inventory, and a complete administrative structure.

Vitales' first product line is called GRATTO and offers ten products for the sugarcane, soy, corn, coffee, and pasture markets.

According to Uby Agro, they are ″highly effective products for integrated pest management (IPM)″.

″Combining innovation, science, and sustainability, the solutions were created to bring the producer the maximum return on investment when it comes to plant protection,″ the company said.

Uby Agro debuts its performance in offering biological products with an eye on the segment that is expected to reach the mark of $11.1 billion by 2025, according to IHS Markit.
