First Hort Science Masterclass, future-proofing IPM
Added on 20 September 2023
This half day seminar – to be held on October 10 at Warwick Trident College, at Lemington Spa in Warwickshire – will explore innovative approaches to Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in horticulture.
Sam Rivers, ICL technical manager for controls, will explore the industry’s approach to IPM and how growers can get the most from plant health inputs and from ICL’s new Plant Health Planner. Sean Loakes, Syngenta’s technical manager for ornamentals, will explore thrips control and the part Mainspring can play in managing resistance build up.
“A new spin off from our popular annual Hort Science Live/Online events, these Masterclasses will shine the spotlight on a single technical subject and include a panel discussion at the end,” explains ICL’s marketing communications manager, Adam Ferjani.
“We’re planning a series of Hort Science Masterclasses at different locations around the UK, covering the key themes of growing, nurturing and protecting plants. These specialist half-day events will run alongside our Hort Science Live events.”
The inaugural ‘Future-proofing IPM Strategies’ masterclass starts at 10.00 and ends at 14.30. Tickets are limited. For further information, and to register for this free event, visit www.eventbrite.co.
